USA and the space elevator

Sorry guys, The US will not be the first with a space elevator. Just because you are wasting your money in Iraq. You are listening too much to the weapons industry.

I bet China will be the first.

    Depends. If we wait for the state to build one, then you might be right. I'll wager that private industry will have one up and running by 2018.
